The Argall BID Renewal Ballot period runs from Wednesday 25th April - Wednesday 23rd May 2012.
All businesses within the BID boundary will be sent a ballot form in order to participate in the vote that determines whether the Argall BID will continue for a second term. It is vitally important that you complete the ballot paper and send it back to Electoral Reform Services in the pre-paid envelope. An opportunity to have lost or missing ballot papers resent will exist after 16th May if a written request is made to ERS at: The Independent Scrutineer, The Election Centre, Clarendon Road, London N8 ONW. Letters must be signed by the eligible voter with one proof of ID inc. signed letterhead for the appropriate company, a photocopy of commercial rates bill; a photocopy of passport or driving licence.
The BID has achieved all of the projects set out in the 2007 business plan and has levered in additional resources of over £275,000 during the first term. Vast improvements have been realised in comparison to the environment and security conditions prior to the BID. Service provision from the Council has improved considerably and the BID has officially represented local businesses by campaigning for the reopening of Lea Bridge Station; the extension of the W19 bus service; and the relaxation of restrictions on the local road network during the Olympics. We have also negotiated temporary access to the BID area during the 2012 Olympics.
