Fatal Crash Causes Congestion on Lea Bridge Road

A man was killed when the car he was travelling was in collision with a bus yesterday morning.

A fellow passenger is in a critical condition following the crash at around 2.20am in Lea Bridge Road, at the junction with the Essex Wharf development on the Leyton border with Clapton.

Two men in the back of the car were also injured when the car collided with a N38 bus bound for Whipps Cross are described as being in a serious but stable condition.There have been no arrests.

Yesterday, roads around the scene remained closed between Chatsworth Road, at the junction of Lea Bridge Road, up to Orient Way.
